The climate of Panama is tropical and so Panamanians stick to lightweight natural fabrics that is generally linen and cotton. When travelling to Panama, you should definitely leave aside all those heavy jackets and woolen suits.  Most Panamanians and tourist dress casually in jeans, light t-shirts, shirts and even shorts.  Footwear is also as casual as the clothing, where sneakers or sandals serve the purpose most of the time.  Working men may be seen in suit and tie, and women wear light weighted dresses and suits to work.
