Panama is a large country but the only city in it is its capital, Panama City. Living in Panama is a great option for you if you like to enjoy yourself. There are numerous restaurants, theatres, nightclubs, shopping centers, tropical parks, recreational facilities, modern hospitals, international schools and universities. It is an ideal place to live in with your family. Living in Panama can be thrilling as it is a large, cosmopolitan city that doesn’t sleep till dawn. You can choose to live in the adjoining suburbs of the city if you do not enjoy the fast paced life of the main city.

Living in Panama is made a hundred times easier if you can understand and speak Spanish. There are many people who speak in English but to get on with your everyday life, you need to know Spanish. You can learn Spanish from centers in Panama itself. A person who moves to Panama from the USA, Canada or parts of Europe is likely to find the cost of living lower in Panama. Living in Panama is relatively cheaper than in cities of the developed countries.

A person living in Panama will know that the weather can be a bit unpredictable. There are two main seasons. There is the dry season that starts in December and continues until May. The wet season builds up until November when there is high rainfall. If you are thinking of living in Panama but you don’t like the noise in the main city, you can either opt to live in a suburb or you can get an apartment in a high-rise building. This will keep you away from the noise pollution on the roads.

Weekends can be spent indulging in recreational activities such as shopping, going to the beach, fishing, or watching a movie. There is no shortage of fun things to do in Panama. If you are not keen on spending the weekend in the city you can take a short trip to any of the surrounding towns such as Bocas Del Toro, Sora, El Valle, Boquete and Coronado- San Carlos. Living in Panama can be exciting for people who are willing to explore and take on the challenges. If you are thinking of living in Panama you should definitely do so. The people are very welcoming and they are open to people of different cultures and traditions. You don’t have to be worried about fitting in. Panama has a large expatriate community and you are sure to find people who are like you.
